Floating
Pain
I feel so much pain
The warm water of the bath won’t make it go away
There’s only one thing to do
I take a silver blade and put it against my arm
I watch it, contemplating my task
With a quick twist, a red line appears down my arm
Life-giving lava erupts from the fissure I’ve created
I make my other arm it’s twin
Now there are two red waterfalls
Flowing into the water
Quickly dying it red
I lay back and put my burning arms under the water
They can’t tell me what to do now
My love, I’m sorry
Sorry for this
Sorry for having failed at so much
But I promise I’ll succeed at this
I’m floating in my dreams
Floating into eternity
