Safecracking according to Red Steel 2

So I had a quick hands on with Red Steel 2 at a games convention last weekend, and it got pretty darn confusing when it came to cracking open a random safe for the booty inside.

Basically, you have to hold up the Wii Remote to your ear and twist it about whilst you listen to the speaker for clicks in the lock. This somehow ended up with me having to bend backwards and forwards to get the dial moving. Sure, looking at it logically, I probably should've just twisted it in my hand, but then I wouldn't have my ear next to the speaker now, would I?
