This scene is happening in Utaki's mind o3o

Yang, the dark skinned/haired one is trying to get Utaki, the other one, to let him take control for a bit so he can have some fun. Well, Utaki doesn't want to let him and so he's trying to pursued the boy.

The reason Yang is see-through is because Utaki's in control, so he's the most solid, since he's obviously the one using the solid form. He can't really feel Yang's touch either, it feels kind of like a light breeze that's lingering on him.

The pose was hard to do ;A;

And I tried some new things with the coloring 8D Like?

Oh wow Kaku, congrats on the frontpage.
I love the concept of this the posing of the arms is comfortable, natural, and effectively portrays exactly what I think you're wanting.
I love the use of transparency in the arms, too.
I would suggest finishing the hand or have other things "dissolve" (maybe the tips of his hair?) otherwise it looks a little odd.
Only other thing I see is that his nose looks a little off center.
The perspective on Otaki's head is great too, I know that be hard to do. Something I'd suggest is at the definition of the lip should curve just a little bit in the other direction to suggest the tilt more. Also, the hair looks a little flat like it's not tilting with him, I'd push the hairline back more. I really love the detailing in his neck too. Perhaps you could darken the clothes just a bit to fit the mood?

I have to say this is my favorite piece from you, with all the emotion, so I was extra motivated to critique it.

Love the picture and pose, and especially love the fadedness of his arms :3

Yoake Ryuhi Says:

Oh very nice I really like this one. The crisp clean look, the over all concept, the color blending. Very nice. The way you did the shading and blending gives a very deep sense of shadows which gives us that sense of darkness without being dark. I like the transparent idea. It gives a nice surreal feel. Utaki's expression gives a sense of struggle and mental fatigue. My favorite part by far is Utaki's head along with Yang's hand. The tilt of his head adds a lot of structure to the work and drives away from that cliche posed flat look. And the way Yang's hand is bent and wrapped around Utaki's chin shows the control he's trying to take. There's a lot of strength in his hand, physically and metaphorically.
In this case because of that surreal theme the flat black background actually works very well with the piece, along with the white glow.
Just as a suggestion I think it would add to the piece if you made the ends of Yang's hair lineless and then fade them out. And kinda like what Moo said complete the hand and just fade out to the fingers, the fingers being extremely transparent and somewhat blurred to give an amorphous look. Just thinking it would add to that mental surreal feel and give him even more of a ghostly look.

Overall very good, probably my favorite piece from you
