Owls for October! Owltober!
Phew!...This is why I never get anything done...
So! I've hinted around a bit that the Makeshift Man comes from a rather large family. He's the youngest of all his brothers, and exists with them in varying degrees of animosity and estrangement. And the brother with whom he has the very worst relationship is Owl.
Owl is the second-eldest in the family, a great predator of darkness, knowledgeable, pessimistic, responsible, and solemn. His eyes see into the very future. His stoic pragmatism and patience is forever at odds with MM's short-term visions of vanity and caprice, and when the two meet up it always leads to violence.
I have drawn them here together, to scale. Ink and Photoshop CS3.
