Owls for October! Owltober!
When I started this series, one of my immediate thoughts for owls-to-draw was Jareth's owl form, from
Labyrinth, which is one of my all-time favorite movies. I mean, come one, think about it: produced by George Lucas; written by Jim Henson and Terry Jones; visual designs by Brian Froud; puppetry and effects by Henson's workshops; directed by Jim Henson; songs written and performed by David Bowie;
starring David Bowie as a charming, juvenile, incorrigibly glamorous villain goblin king who kidnaps a baby and juggles bubbles and has an amazing scene where he dances with, like, forty Muppets and baby Froud and also some chickens, and he turns into an owl just to make him extra-groovy?!
This entire film is made of EPIC WIN, and I find not a single thing about it that is not completely satisfying.
So here is Bowie barn owl. All watercolor.

The codpiece was a little regrettable, though.
