I decided to clear off the people on my waiting list for the $10 commissions since I had a little free time in my work schedule.
This is for
Atrox Chobatsu here on sheezy.
This is his character Sarah. I've admired his work for some time so it was a lot of fun to draw Sarah. I tried to keep all the elements of her while adding my own style so it wasn't a direct copy. I think it came out well and he agrees :)
I think the next time I do these it'll be for something different so I'm not going to be taking another waiting list. If I still have time after finishing these I'll post the information in my journal.

I'm sorry to say, but... I don't really like it. You have a great drawing style, don't get me wrong, but if your drawing a character of a person whose style is completely different, sometimes it's best not to try. I prefer the cartoony look of this character better. Please don't take this the wrong way. It's just, your style is good for some things, not everything.

Sorry for the late reply, just got home from work!
I still LOVE this, really. The colors are carefully recreated form the original while dipping it in a slight blue tone to match the background, and not a lot of people get this close.
I especially love how you translated her hair and her eyes, gawd I love those eyes. They're not like the flat violet I use for them, they look more like amethyst, and that's good, gives them a nice pretty sheen. :3
All in all, I'd buy another, when your open that is... But that probably won't be for a while. Still, I am so happy with this piece, it'll probably tide me over for a few months or half a year if I put it as my Zune Background (the average time a picture stays as my Zune background is a month and a half).
Solid work, and it makes me feel super guilty, because I'm charging more than 10 dollars for my crap-happy commishes.
