Fallen sketch

Painter 11 (yay!)

A digital pencil sketch for one of the paintings in my in-the-works wing-themed calendar. I thought it had an interesting look even as rough as it is. There's something about it. It's making me want to draw an actual pencil version of it too. And I'm tempted to have that be the version for the calendar instead of a color one. ?

Still getting used to the new brushes in Painter 11 and the tilt sensitivity (which is awesome but awkward at times), but I'm loving the new Real!pencil brush.

I lost count of how many times I tried to work out what I wanted for this sketch. All sorts of angles (and angels, lol) and even though some I liked, none 'clicked' as "the one" until this one.

It's still not the idea I had originally intended, but when I saw where this one was going I set asid
e that idea for later (when it can be the Castiel (Supernatural) fanart that the original concept wanted to be and this isn't.

The title might change. Not sure if it's the one I want.
