Everyone's always saying how awful the 90's were.

I, for one, am still very fond of the "hyper-detail" and giant shoulder pads art of the day. It's like that horrible teenage secret you want to forget. It's there, it happened, there is proof, but you've outgrown it and now feel ashamed of it.

With comics, the 90's is probably that time. It's when it wore sunglasses and a backwards hat while shredding on a skateboard to the max. Now that it deals with themes like society and identity issues, comics look back and turn red at how immature and muscle bound they were.

Here's to the 90's!
