Phew. A lot of effort here.

But overall, I do enjoy the effort I put into this! I should do a background more often. Course, they should be better than this but whatever.

And I know it's really hard to show expression with Crucifix with that mask on. It's not really very expressive, but oh well. He's usually just supposed to say a morbid non-sequitur here and there, and apply some plot development.

Ah well, things'll be clearer as I progress. -shrug-

But anyway, explanations.

Crucifix (We'll call him Adam for now) learned that his demon has to accept his challenge to a duel whenever he makes one. Crucifix (The demon) currently resides within him, and even takes total control sometimes. Adam doesn't want this, naturally, so he'll find any way to get rid of Crucifix. And he'd made a deal with Crucifix, that if he bested him in a duel, he would leave his body and the ones he loves alone forever.

Of course, any good demon isn't going to be a chump at duels. And Crucifix is a very smart, so he's really good, and really hard to beat. Which leads to them battling in an abandoned church. And Adam will keep trying, but he'll never beat him normally.

At some point though, he'll be able to figure Crucifix out, and then he'll finally be gone.

(Also I know Adam looks a little stiff. I drew him without the sketch, because it looked a lot worse.)

Anyhow, enjoy the picture yes!

Zetsubou Eureka Says:

People always sword fight facing away from each other?

Anyway, I'm enjoying the picture.

Kodfish Says:

Yes, the picture is very nice.

Crucifix looks kind of cartoony in some sort of pudgey kind of way, I don't know.

I think you could have been a little more creative with "Adam"'s posing, too.

But overall, very nice picture, yes.

I like the font you used on the subtitles.

jrOc Says:

What a cocktease; the subtitles in the thumbnail made me think this was a flash movie :c

Oh well, good job either way. I admire your lighting skills; it really adds atmosphere.

Hur hur!

Spilled Salt Says:

The background is awesome actually.
Backgrounds that actually fit the style always do better.
Also, the way the swing mark of Adam's blade makes it look like he did a 360 arm.

The Inquisitor Says:

Why i this of all things noton Front page already?

I mean seriously damn, this is really bloody nice.

Justin Frost Says:

EN GUARD!

AndyXP Says:

fantastic

WCP Says:

Spread those legs, get into a REAL fencing stance! >8C

Very good. It does look like a screen shot from an animated movie.

Nypherus Says:

I imagined this whole scene animated with your art style exactly in place. Although I heard Japanese.

Good lord, this is awesome.
