Conglomeration

Another Vulgar Expression

sometimes, i find myself thinking,
as i usually do:
i wonder, does my life dictate what i see in my dreams?
or do my dreams set up the path that my life must take?
my reality is so grossly warped
that it's rather hard to tell.

Drowning Higher

"live on" he said
"as long as your remember me,
you'll just have to live on."
she remembered as she drowned
sinking further and higher still
she breathes in gulps of water
begs for death to elude her
and just as she reaches the shore
her mind runs away
and the ghost she sees makes her heart stop
she forgets who it is for a moment
but knows for certain that he is dead--
or, if nothing else, that his image is dead--
so she drifted away to nothing
to a voice that pierced her ears
and her heart
"Live on!"

Sentiments of Old

she walks in
and sees me there.
i smile at her,
she smiles back.
we hated each other,
but now i feel
she accepts me.

Pirate Hat

i saw him walk ahead
with his hat and his attitude
and i considered calling out
but by fear of having been forgotten
i remained there
still, quiet
and let him walk away.

Salem's Witches

Witch! they cried
as i burned on the public square
the smoke carries a noxious smell
that of my melting, burning flesh
though these memories are not mine
and i must fight to repell them
Witch! i still hear
and i cry because, i know,
as well as i know that you are real,
that they are still right
and i, too, will burn,
someday, eventually,
in my own Salem tragedy.

Suffocation Invocation

it's only a matter of time
before this emotion implodes,
before it collapses on itself
and squeezes the air
clean out of
my lungs.
i wish i could let it all out,
to just let things unwind
but i couldn't stand myself
if i ever threw that burden on you
and so i keep quiet and wait
and let this love suffocate me.

Wanton Lust

slender neck
strong arms
fair skin
and soft hair
narrow waist
thin legs
is this what they call
wanton lust?
but it cannot be
for i am woman
and so is she

Special thanks to Purple Cloud and Noboru for, respectively, pointing out and reminding me of the mistakes I made in these" :)

Second poetry dump.

A few of these I would've put down as individual submissions, but I really didn't feel like overloading you guys. I already feel like I'm spamming your updates. I don't want to make it worse.

So, well, I hope you enjoy this. c: There's probably going to be one last poetry dump like this, with a few of the medium-ish poems. Otherwise, I think this is pretty much it. :)

pur plec loud Says:

I think "Wanton Lust" was my favorite of these :3

I also particularly liked the line, "sinking further and higher still." It just has this awesome oxymoronic feel that I love.

My only crit is that in "Sentiments of Old" the switches in tense don't quite make sense. Either make it ALL past tense OR change the last line ("she accepted me") to present tense ("she accepts me").

I think... the one that got me most. ..

was "Salem's Witches"

It... urgh.

You keep pegging emotions I'm having at a current singular point in the time frame of today >__<

I wanted to say "stop being so amazing!!!"

But I know it's not true.

Keep being so well at these amazing little poems that are brimming with emotion.

Noburu Says:

I'm actually fairly impressed with these. I mean, the overall presentation indicates that you could very easily throw together a fairly successful anthology of poetry. I'd make a lot of little tweaks here and there, but by and large your style is distinct and clear and your use of certain literary tools is apparent in an appreciable manner.

Nevine1Solien Says:

C: I'm glad I took the time to read these. You make me appreciate literature even more.
