Drawn on the train to and from Derby on saturday, finished yesterday at home.

It's based on Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky. Well...it wasn't...originally it was a circle...then a face...then Rush's 'The Trees' came on my mp3 and I made it a tree, then drew a person leaning on him, reminding me of the jabberwocky...from then on it's pretty straightforward.

Quote: Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky: (I can resite it all from memory)

He took his vorpal sword in hand,
Long time the manxome foe he sought,
So rested he by the tum tum tree
And stood a while in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
the jabberwock with eyes of flame
came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
and burbled as it came.

"There is unrest in the forest, there is trouble with the trees", I love that song! Anyway, I really like this picture, however it came about, it looks like it belongs in a Tim Burton film!

This is beautiful. It concerns me so much that I think I need to make it my background.
