About the guy: His voice is a little too shaky, stressed....
About your voice: It feels like you're holding back alot. Let it all out, all loud, and sing with your heart, not with your mouth. Feel the emotions carried by the lyrics you are singing. Being a singer is like being an actor, without the videocamera =) Right now you sound a bit too monotonous... One last thing, don't hesitate to pronounce the words you sing, a lot of singers have that problem. Practice singing different words on different notes, and dont hesitate to over-exaggerate the speech articulation. An easy and common trick that helps alot is singing while holding a pencil with your teeth. =) "Tongue twisters" are also of a good help when you practice saying them as fast as possible. (And that can bring a lot of fun when done together with some friends
