I always loved RPG Maker, well, I loved it when I was young, but then, I thought it was free, because it was available everywhere, and nobody would admit it was illegally patched/cracked/translated/redistributed.
I think I have RPG maker 2003 and VX on my PC right now, but I don't use them. The sprites only really got good in XP and above. (There should be a "RPG Maker LE" or "Linux Edition" for us Linux lovers. )
