Matt & the Purity Blade

Matt finds himself surrounded in a dark room filled to the brim with Shadow Demons. Low on Chaos Energy for both himself & his MechArm, Matt focuses all of the energy he has left to summon the Purity Blade. Now he must fight for his life & escape before the sword disappears & leaves him vulnerable.

Originally this was going to be just another Smash Trophy Profile, of that of the Purity Blade (formerly named the Sword of Chaos). However, one thing led to another & this came out of it. And to be honest, I think that it was for the best! I've always wanted to do one of those images of the hero standing battle ready in a dark room with the eyes of many enemies glowing in the background. That's always been my favorite type of scenario.

In any case, here's the skinny on the Purity Blade: It is the sword that was both forged & used by the original Master of Chaos, and is the only weapon in existance that has survived the eons since the fall of the ancient civilization unscaved. It is said that there is no evil & corruption that the sword cannot slay. Despite it's size, the sword is incrediblty light, and it's forged of Chaosanium, making it indestructible. Normally, Matt is only able to summon this weapon while in his all-powerful Master Form. However, there are some scenarios, such as when he is overcharged or other rare occasions, Matt can materialize it for short periods of time (usually anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes).

Despite it being so powerful, however, Matt's lack of skill with a sword brings down it's effectiveness quite a bit.
