Chinook is Nick’s big dumb pet dog that hangs around his pawn shop, chasing spiders and greeting people who visit. He picked her up in Los Vegas, where she lived as a stray in an over-turned trashcan behind a gym. She was hit by a car earlier and was picked up by the Humane Society for treatment. Unfortunately, her leg was too damaged to save, so they had to amputate it. Three legged dogs heal pretty quickly, so Chinook was right as rain after a brief recovery. She eventually escaped when a worker was walking her one day and ended up living behind a gym. Nick was there learning to box and working the circuits, so he’d give her half of his sandwich he’d bring for lunch. When he was done with Vegas he took her with him and moved to Sagancity, opening up a pawn shop there, where Chinook slobbers over anyone who visits. She forgets she has three legs and how big she is sometimes, so she knocks things over and gets stuck in tight places. Nick doesn’t care though, he loves his big stupid dog too much :3

I’m starting to like making reference sheets. C:

This is the pet dog of a fence character I have for Villain, I figured a bachelor ought to have a dog or something so here she is. I also love three-legged-dogs; they have so much personality, even though Sluggy says I’m terrible for giving Chinook three legs.

One of my best friends in Highschool grew up in Vegas before moving to PA, and would tell me stories about going to take a shower in the mourning and finding a damn scorpion in the bathtub, or finding tarantulas in the kitchen sinks. So that kinda inspired this a bit. D8

SHE'S SO CUTE @_@ I WANT HER.
Dog characters are fun. Maybe I should give one of my characters a dog...
I love the level of detail you went into explaining all of her traits. It makes her seem real.
