Try the insides of cereal boxes and such, or sometimes you can find what is called cardboard shell which is just flat pieces with no corrugation. I have a large stack because I adore the way colored pencil looks on it.

oh it came out pretty good! i could see myself getting frustrated with those bumps in the cardboard love the nose!!
