Beyond the glass

Beyond the glass lies a hand
Resting in a critter's mouth.
The enraged beast would not stop chewing
However, it would not devour.
It was only loyally serving

Awaiting the day the artist
whom the hand once belonged to
would long for it again.

I can remember this once started as vent art. Just a bare naked sketch in my schketchbook from forever ago. Once when I had some spare time in the glass painting workshop I grabbed as piece of float glass, my sketchbook and started outlining the sketch on the glass.

From there it just went on and on, I think this one actually had to visit the oven at least 4 times, which is quite a lot considering that it's barely as big as my sketchbook.

I still need to lead it together, which is probably the most tedious part of creating stained glass

Pretty fond about the blood and the way the hair color turned out, because you know, I had to mix colors and this is aaaalways tricky.
Because they look VERY different before you put them into the oven to get burned in the glass.
