This concept has been stuck in my head for ages. Decided to use it for a class collage-into-painting project. Admittedly it can be a lot better. This is what I get for swinging back into photoshop, using ps techniques with traditional mediums and screwing it up! lol
The texture on the body was achieved through trial and error. Best method is to use ripped pieces of crumpled paper and sticking it onto the canvas with gesso or plain white glue. Defined with darker paint in the wrinkles.
Canvas is 4ft x 4ft
Acrylic paint + metallic acrylic copper paint

I think it is great as it is right now!! D8! You did the body really nicely. The texture looks very real, and the fish and the background looks good too! you were able to blend the light in with the background and not make it too sharp.
The tree could use darker shadows, but I'm not sure if that's just my personal opinion or personal taste. The spine seems to be a bit off angle, and there are some white spots.
But all that stuff really isn't anything important! I still like how you are really artistic, and really abstract in your concepts!! You have great talent. I still remember your art from 3 or so years ago. Your art improved a lot!
The body in this picture really makes me think of a body that became a tomb for something else. D8 It looks more like a vampire coffin than a tomb. >< I don't want bad thoughts before I sleep.
