These are some 50x50 tiles compiled together to make a mini map example.

The water is nice, but the rocks are kinda plain. This is better than many early games, but it needs a bit more texture and contrast to match the current pokemon games.

I really don't like the color of the rocks. Their shading doesn't look very natural either.
Also, the grass is a bit too bright.
