Well, I finished this composition for a local (Free/Charity) commission by a church in this area.
The resquest was for an unintrusive musical composition to act as a background for a missions video with an africa setting. So I assembled some tribal drums and went for something that brought images of the Savana to my mind.
Despite the simplicity of the track's sound, it's a touch more complicated than you would think from just listening to it. I went over four versions before I was satisfied with the finished product. (They loved it from version one.)
The vocals included are actual african singing/chants I happened to have gotten hold of prior to this, so I spent time going through them to pick a good set.
Asside from that, the Guitar has some dynamic play to it, the various drum loops fade and have filters applied to them at different points... and I just love that pipe flute when it crosses with the female 'ah' voice.
Since this is a project commission, there will be no downloading permitted.
