Hi Sheezynauts!

After months and months (sorry Sally!), finally I present to you a wonderful collaboration between Sally Elsey and myself.

A message from Sally:
"I have really enjoyed working with Rod on this song, and am very pleased with the way is has turned out. I hope everyone enjoys listening to it."

This was the first time I ever made a collab song, so it was a nice experience. The process was the following:
1. Sally wrote the lyrics.
2. She recorded a demo version of the lyrics with a base melody.
3. I used the recording to build up the foundation of the music.
4. Sally recorded the entire vocals.
5. I took years to make the music. (Blame school, Japan and other projects :P)
6. I mixed the song and sent it to Sally for review.
7. Made final mix and master.
8. Uploading to Sheezy! ;)

I want to thank Sally for the amazing vocals, in the end the song turned really good IMO, but you'll have your own opinion about it :)

Here are the lyrics:

Feeling alone what could I do
No one to talk to, no one to listen
Lying awake in the dead of night
Then came the answer to my prayers

Suddenly someone was listening
Someone to help me through the haze
Then in my deepest thoughts you came to me
And showed me how to find the way

[Chorus]
Voices of the night, speak to me again
Voices of the night, let your wisdom reach out to me
Never leave me again, voices of the night
Take me to a place where the truth will always be the same
Speak to me voices of the night
[\Chorus]

Everything seemed so simple then
Nothing to fear, no reason to worry
Even in times of solitude
I knew I’d never feel alone

Then there was silence, and you were gone
No one to guide me through the dark
Are you the voices of someone else?
Or just the echoes of my mind

[Chorus]

Voices of the night, speak to me again
Voices of the night, speak to me again
Voices of the night

ProudOne Says:

I like it well done. Still, the Vocal are somehat ducked behind the melody or vice versa, which is kind of weird in my ears

Noburu Says:

Not sure how I feel about the ending, but I'm really wowed by the technical abilities demonstrated in this song nonetheless. The guitarmanship is fantastic! Not mind-blowing, but certainly a cut above the rest in the speed, and the clarity of the notes hit really shows you know what you're doing; so I like the guitar's part a lot, even if it's pretty heavy on flanger and whatever other effects... hahaha. And of course, I love Sally's voice, particularly when it's looped on itself. Her voice resonates so well with itself that those types of harmonies are just incredible.

So... good job! This is impressive. Makes me realize I haven't jammed with anyone in a while! Hahaha.

Love it. Love Sally's voice and you demonstrated impressive skills with the guitar. The compossition is also fantastic. The ending is great...if you appreciate a slight dose of uh.....polite word....well 'cheese' is all I can think of, but I love cheese so <3

HyruleMaster Says:

Overall, very nicely done. =) The song went smoothly and had a nice touch to it. Good job with the guitar work--it was a relief to not hear a repetitious rhythm. I enjoyed listening to this.

AlloyOne Says:

I dig! :]

ShootingStar Says:

This song reminds me of Blackmores Night band. they have kind of the same style. Sally's way of singing and her voice make me think of that band at first and then alike with the music. I like it. good music and lyrics!

DARKWOLF215 Says:

this is very good you two should go on x factor or something

beethovenbd Says:

the first intro of the guitars sounded a bit like a classical piece I can't lay my finger on...and round 51 it sounded like another rock song I know... but all in all a VERY enjoyable Collab ^^

SallyMusic Says:

Nice! XD
