I'd been playing the chord progression to this for a while before making this into an actual finished product. It took at least a week of going around and sampling all the tracks before it was all mastered and ready to go.
The lyrics are just superfluous. I liked it better without singing in most parts. But I guess they fit, which is nice to hear.
If you want to derive anything from it, think up your own meaning for them. Unless you really want an explanation, to which it's probably just a euphamism for me chasing my own dream and realizing someone's already gotten to the top before me.

mixing is well done, beat and feel is all pretty sweet and it all flows pretty well, I could have stood to hear the drums a tidbit more but it worked well anyways. You definitely know what you're doing with that guitar. Nothing much else I can say on this one.
