Tonight, the sallow moon beckons him.

Lume, the half-demon that hates what he is. When he changes, he knows not what he does. His reality is consumed by deep and dark despair, so potent as to numb his heart.
He's so damn emo.
This was going to be left as lineart, but he threatened to cry more if I didn't color him. Some areas of this could be much better, but I was having major color conflicts, and sometimes you just have to throw in the towel. I was bent on a yellow moon... There was such a lovely one outside while I was working on this.
This isn't a statement about religion.

His whole pose is just gorgeous and really sets off a mood in this piece.. I really love his face, especially the eyes. The glow is very nicely done and the tears are beautiful also. The wings are excellent, the whole texture in them is really nice. They actually look like wings! |D And ahhh I love his hand, the texture in it is very nicely done as well. Goodness I really like the necklace too, the string looks so thin and delicate. The coloring is magnificent! Especially on his face and his left wing, I really like how his skin reflects the yellow in the moon, and the shadows look just right. You can really tell where the light source is! And the background, goodness gracious, the clouds are very well done and the moon is beautiful. And I like the border you added |D Ahh I love everything about this piece, ‘tis wonderful!

The green of his eye reflecting in his tear is a nice touch.. it adds this extra layer of emotion to me, somehow. Idk.

I see what you mean about the colors. For what it's worth, I think the more purple tones around his tail work better than the browns and more greyish tones that are closer to the moon. It's still a great, piece though. You do a great job of bringing forth his angst.
