Longing

This was created in Garage Band entirely out of loops. My college major requires that I take a computer literacy class for musicians and we learn how to use programs like this. So this was one of the projects. So the requirements for this particular project were to gather loops and make your own song, it had to be around two minutes--that's why it feels so short. (If I could I would have made it longer. DX) I put this together with the idea of a canon. I love to add layers and layers of music until you get a rich, beautiful sound. That and the most prominent instrument is the french horn...since that is the best instrument ever (and that is totally an un-biased opinion. 8D *gets slapped*)

And I'm so sorry that the balance is off--the headphones I use are crappy.

Part of the reason why I titled this Longing is because the names of the loops I used were titled "longing." The other, and more prominent reason, is when I put this together, I was thinking about how sometimes it can be so painful when we have such strong feelings for a person, and yet they don't recognize it. A feeling of such yearning and longing seems to come forth from that loneliness, and you'll do anything to get rid of that emptiness. Sometimes it feels like darkness completely smothers you and there's no escape. However, just knowing and thinking about the feeling of love alone is enough to send your heart aflutter. When, for a brief moment, you forget about the darkness and loneliness and just think about that beautiful feeling called love, it feels like you want to fly. And from that a small light begins to shine in the darkness, and a tiny bit of hope burns inside. So endure that smothering shadow--and maybe some day things will change...
