Celie - Onions and Nails

Not at the same time, mind you.

Well, here on the top we have Celie doing her nails. You can't see the color, of course, so I'll let you know that it's Cadaver Lips Blue. Kinda weird that she does that when she's going to wear gloves anyway.

She also likes to put potassium cyanide in her own nail polish, a little thing she's been doing for a while to combat her bad nail-biting habit. She's continued to do so even after getting rid of the habit because the cyan in the cyanide gives her nails a "healthy pale glow."



Also, Celie really likes onions, it's taken the form of a guilty pleasure though, and she tries to hide it from others, going so far as to consume an entire tin of altoids to cover the breath. White onions are alright. French onions make for a good meal. Pearl onions in brine (cocktail onions) are her absolute favorite snack. Still, she'd rather not get caught eating them, as her surprised look shows here.

Her reason for liking onions dates back to her childhood. Her parents were poor, so when they ate out, they'd get a sub sandwich (you can get a footlong for so little) and share it. Her parents didn't like the onions in their sandwiches that they constantly forgot to hold off, so they'd take them out and put them aside. Celie, however, being the smallest would often get the least sandwich, so she made use of the discarded onions. Eventually they became a sort of dessert to her.
