The beast lies dormant, but the heart beats ardent.

I've been feeling a listlessness of spirit. Boredom with life has begun to bear down on me again, and there are some wounds that just won't heal. What is at times a raging fire of inspiration has become a quiet ember--not lost, glowing softly. Paradoxically, in exercising (not exorcising) this state of being via art, I feel I might have fed the fire kindling. The result is an image rife with symbolism.

He looks so feral! It looks like you just happened to walk into his room, uninvited, and stole his entire being in a photograph.
His wings are excellent. :/ I'm really jealous of how you can draw them.
I am loving this.
I do not have really much to say about this particular piece except that I like it. It's that simple. Yeah, I usually try to say something productive, but I can't think strait (sick).
As for boredom, break the monotony of your life. I don't know how, but you can do it.

Absolutely gorgeous! I love how fierce, yet somehow calm, Shasalis looks here. Fantastic work on everything else, too. Love how the background seems like an actual part of the whole piece, and you did well on the chains, too.

I don't have anything constructive to say. >.> I seem to be lacking in that department as of recent and I empathize with the constant drudgery that life has in itself become.
This image, is just gorgeous. Elegant in its own manner. I can say nothing more.

Very powerful in its entire being, I must say.
Also with monotony/boredom: I've seen/heard that some folks in your situation try to resolve it by trying to make comics that bitch about something/make fun of something/or both. My girlfriend Major made a comic series about her JROTC class, much of it exaggerated into funny-as-hell proportions and included random Resident Evil monsters to make the mundane class-life into something more comical.
Cartoony versions of my own characters are what I draw to pass time during my classes at college, too.
Bah, babbling. Awesome picture, once again :)

Ooh, indeed, Sai is a wonderful program for outlining.
While looking at this on DeviantArt, I couldnt stop staring at the lighting in wonder how you make it look so amazing.
The blood even, which I'm a fan of.
Really awesome picture either way!
