Ode to the Disenfranchised
Take another good hit of this sweet Prolefeed,
And abandon your songs of revolting,
“For now is the time,” cries the prodigal son,
“To abolish your self-mutilation.”
Said he to the crowds: “Drop your weapons!”
Said the crowds back to he: “We will not!
For so long we’ve been taught to be angry,”
They said, “That we’re in no fit state to stop.”
And the world spun without their admission,
Of decadence guilty for rage,
So continue your angst, and your shouting,
That falls upon deafest of ears.

this is like angtsy anti-angst poetry. And yes, I was like 'WTF IT DOESN'T RHYME? SHE'S GONE MAD!' The rhythm is still really effective, though I felt a little lost, or perhaps that I needed another stanza to clarify or give background, which is odd as I usually prefer poems to be short. General consensus is positive :)
