Daydream

The wind blows gently
across the dark green forest.
Tress sway, lullingly, softly,
drunk on silent dreams.

Listen to the eart as it sings.
Watch the stars a they dnce
across a midnight sky.

Daydreams of another world:
crisp, clean, adventerous.
Something entirely different,
than what's here now.

Songs echo from unseen sources.
Frogs echo in an imaginary pond.
Squirrels gather their supply of nuts,
as they swing, tree to tree.

A beautiful spring day.
where one can layout
underneath the blue sky
caressed by the cool grass

Where one can gaze out
forever across the sea of sky,
longingly wishing to grow wings and
fly away to another world.

Hope soars on unguided wings
as a falcon of mischevious colors
sweeps along the termals
teasing unwitting prey who
scuttle away at the sight.

A wish born of desperation
drove the catipillar away from his
home to grow and change into
a gallient Butterfly.

Daydreams fuel imagination
They relax the mind
Day dreams are dreamt by everyone,
big and small
