Sonnets

Sonnets.

The sunny windows themselves beckons me,
They call out warmly to join in a song
I look out their blinds longly to see
something of my world reflect, short not long
of what the old stories woved declare
Birds chatter and clouds roll lazily by
below the soft tress, i have not a care
Life goes fast everything in place, a sigh
A random thought, a stray passing, long ago
Helpful as ever, quiet and thoughtful
Nothing stays the same as time rebutly goes
The blank paper weedled below as helpful
as the inspiration for this sonnet
hist me sfly as the falling comet

Alright, THis was an English assighment and A rather hard one. No it is NOT in iambic pentameter, but it has everything else a shakespearen sonnet requires. She didn't want us to bother with Iambic. This was hard enough as it was.

Everything has ten syllables. Perfect. I sat there and counted. and ommitted probable better words, because they didn't fit. No i know she was giving a leeway it could 11 or nine. But me, set out for ten and accomplished it....

Im ok with this poem. This IS the second one I've done, But i don't know where my first one went to. XD

Anyways enough of my babble.

Oscar Wilde Says:

O, thank god you noted it was not in iambic. Because I was just about to mention that. I sat here, with my lil' finger metronome, counting your syllables.

Otherwise, you're correct. Excellent try at a sonnet, by the way. It's the most perfect form of poetry.
