-THIS MANGA IS READ LIKE A TRADITIONAL MANGA, FROM RIGHT TO LEFT-

Now, Manaas was a bit unique. I was envisioning Odin when I put him in, but as it stands Odin is a reference to Norse mythology (And many of the Espers are based on other things, I know), so I had to differentiate a bit. Basically, I created Manaas as... the perfect weapons master. He could use any weapon, and could use anything AS a weapon. His title, Swordsmaster, is that because of his preference of swords, which is a parallel to myself. I like swords.

Now, as for the titles in general, for the most part they are meant to act as a reference to something. Tisha's reference, Glacier, is to be to Shiva, whom I recall used a spell called Glacier in some game. Cirana's reference, Storm, is just a direct reference to Ramuh. Dhamus, meanwhile, was referencing one of Ifrit's spells, but for different reasons. The day you see Dhamus truly fight, you'll know why his title is Hellfire.

Drakosa, I've already explained, is to reference Bahamut the dragon, and Manaas is above.

Some other Zatei are Raina the Angel and Dawn the White. Raina's relates to her powers, though you might not ever see them, heh. Dawn's is a more unique case: Dawn's entire character is a reference to my friend, Keiron White, aka funkyalien. He has a story called White Shadow, the main character named Felicia. Dawn's outfit references Felicia's, her title is to reference Keiron's name, and her element combined with her title reference Keiron's story (Her element is Shadow). In order to make the reference deeper, and to add another non-white character in the story, Dawn is also black. Not black black, but the skin colour black. Bleh, I'm bad at wording it properly. You know what I mean.
