When I came up with the Zatei, I used the idea of the Espers from Final Fantasy 6 as a reference. Because of this, you'll see some parallels between certain Zatei and those espers. In particular, you can see it in Cirana the Storm and Tisha the Glacier. Cirana is the elderly man in this comic, while Tisha is the woman. These two are particularly obvious: Cirana has a basis to Ramuh, while Tisha is related to Shiva. Don't get the wrong idea though: this wasn't because I wanted it that way. I just found that... the concepts of lightning and ice, in terms of the magical aspects of the story, carried a weight to them. In how I've planned everything, both elements are actually sub-elements for Wind and Water respectively.
