It was really fun to paint, even if was terribly sick the last days. It's a present for my mum's b-day.
Done with Acrylics, over 2-3 days.

to say it short, she is the daughter of the giant Thjazi who had his "kingdom" in Jötunheim. When he stole Thor's hammer Mjöllnir, Thor and Loki went to Jötunheim, dressed up as women. Thor was supposed to be Freiya and Loki his maid.
Well... both killed Thjazi and Skadi wanted revenge, travelled to Asgard. Since Odin and all the other gods respected her too much to fight against her, they promised her a husband, and someone had to make her laugh. In this case, it was Loki. He did some kind of tug war against a goat by fixing the goat's beard on his testicles. Skadi laughed so hard that she was merciful and Odin threw her father's eyes into the sky where they became stars.
That thing with the promised husband... she had to pick one of the gods only by looking at their feet. Usually she wanted to marry Baldur, but she picked the cleanest feet, and they belonged to Njörd, the God of wanes, the sea and ocean.
the marriage between both didn'T last too long though. Njörd couldn't stand the howl of skadi'S wolves, and Skadi hated the sound of seagulls in Noatun. (There is also a rumour that both were brother and sister, but I don't know too much about it oo; )
