My other quick Edward painting made me want to go more in depth and original with him in something. Mostly for practice more than anything else.
Soooo...playing with some techniques here which is kind of obvious. Sort of going for a rather iconic painting look. Tried to keep it out the realm of strong realism. To add to the iconic effect I kept the colors washed out.
I used a lot of ref for this one. Fun making the boyfriend pose for shirt reference lol. Hopefully it looks enough like Edward to get the image across.
Making men look glittery/sparkly feels and looks really retarded. But that's Twilight... Don't hate on my subject matter... but this is S.A. you're gonna vote it down before you even read this message XD
Still not perfectly happy with it, but how many artworks is an artist truly happy with?

Ah, I loved this part. Such much grief caused over a simple misunderstanding. Luckily, Bella, literally got there just in time.
About your piece, the sparkle effects looks just like how they did it in the movie, great job. :3 I actually think the sparkling is a little cheesy but the concept is what counts. ♥♥ The tone of this is very dreary which is absolutely perfect for the scene. I can't say I like his face that much though, something about it is just off.. In any case this, overall, is a great piece.

What was awful in the movie was that the sparkles were MAKING A SOUND! WHAT THE HELL, i felt so ashamed to see that LOL XD It doomed Twilight. Everyone I know criticize the movie painfully, and they keep coming back on THAT...I loved how they did it! So beautiful....but, the sound, damiit, crystal sounds, SPARKLES DONT MAKE SOUNDS, in the real world.

I loved that part. But you know what, yes, we can easilly recognize Robet Pattinson as you model, duh, but its weird, he makes me think of the guy who played Haldier in the Lord of the Rings 1 and 2. Do you know who im speaking about lol?
Anyway.
Dont worry about people who cant accept your subject. Its a wonderful subject of art, because so many feelings are intertwined in the Twilight series, its not hard to get authentic inspiration from there, its so deep, strong and passionate.
You are not the loser for getting yourself into that story, letting you go and enter the great world of litterature, who is in my opinion, the best world in the..world. ^^'
