Reaver Imp. Kestrel refers to him as her cousin. She kinda sorta maybe broke him out of a laboratory that she was breaking herself out of, and they are maybe now on the run from people who want to kill them...just a little bit. So, really, abetting runaways, escaped convicts, and wayward royalty didn't seem all that big a deal.
...Do not call Simon a monkey, or he will beat you with a pipe wrench. Oh, and he won't tell you his first name, either.
