Maaaan, this one was fun on the bun. I got to play with some cameos, some experimental paneling, and two new characters in April and the Foot Ninja uniform (three if you count Raphael's fedora and trench coat costume). 99% of this page was inked traditionally, I only used the computer for April's hair. And it was a blast. I especially loved working on the Foot and how they work within the shadows of the subway station.
Let's talk a bit about character design. My philosophy for the art direction of this whole project has been doing a kind of "ultimate universe" thing for all the characters, wherein I draw inspiration from as many iterations of the character as they've appeared in canon as possible. This philosophy is particularly evident in the design of the foot soldier. I took from the live action movies, CGI movie, and both cartoons for the Foot design. Look closely at the uniform and you'll see where all the influences come into play. As for April, I wound up going the opposite route, and just doing my take on the 1989 cartoon version. She's still in the jumpsuit, still improbably busty, still has the same hairstyle, it's just all been Wil'd up a bit.
And those cameos I mentioned earlier? If the sound effects weren't there, you'd be able to see a Rock Band version of Psy from an upcoming Randomosity, myself sleeping, Lance from Evertropolis, and Boss-Man from Enter Clear Bowl on the train. Also, the movie advertisement behind April in panels two and three is for Evertropolis.

Definitely digging the last panel, too.

Perfection really.
How are we suppose to enjoy cameos if we can't even see them without looking at the original pencils though? : <
