Here it is! All painted! (except the base, but I like it, it's simple and effective)
Well, I'm quite proud of how it turned out. The poor thing's gotten a few cracks from transport to and from San Fran in a storage container. Her frame is pretty sin (especially around the arms) so it's a good thing I had some super glue in my pocket on my way to the presentation.
Speaking of the presentation, my teacher really liked it. He didn't care about the paint of the base, just the sculpt (unlike some people). He told me this particular model is hard to do, and I did a great job on it. It's definitely better than my last sculpt.
(Optional Story Ahead)
----------------------------------------
Now here's the funny part of the story.
Of course, the presentation didn't go too well. There was this one jerk, Josh, who asked during my presentation "So did you get any inspiration from Sonic characters?" The presentation pretty much derailed from there, and no one really wanted to ask anymore questions. They did find it funny that I said "no." in a disgusted manner.
I took it so well, after my presentation, I had to excuse myself for about half of the presentations to go to the restroom to punch and kick the walls and sink.
I dunno if it's the fact that she's in 3-D, but Josh was real insistent on saying she looks like a Sonic character. Ugh.
After all the presentations, every student would go around and write a written critique about the other student's sculptures (I caught the most crap for the base hurting the sculpt.... I didn't think it was that bad :/). After class I took a look at Josh's critique on mine... I got a score of 7/10 on the overall sculpt (ust the sculpt, nothing about paint, base or promo board). So I took a look on what went wrong in the written comments under sculpt. First sentence said "Arm looks a bit lumpy, needs more smoothing." Oh that's not so bad to take off 3three points, maybe one... the next sentence says...
"Character looks like a sonic character."
:/
Sooo.... not only is he wrong (because everyone knows Sonic characters don't express emotion), but I also lost about 1-2 points for the character looking like something else? I don't even have to point out how wrong that is, since the score is based on craft. Unless that arm really looks THAT bad.
So at that point, I took a pen, and circled "sonic character" in Josh' critique and wrote under it:
"FUUUUUUCK YOU JOSH"
- Javier
... Does she really look like a sonic character here? D:
Well, just a fun story I thought I'd share.

That's pretty awesome.
Do I see action figures in the near future..?!
Yuu Tan Says:
How you do that and how much would you charge for a OC thing like that?

"So did you get any inspiration from Sonic characters?"
wat
Jaxxy Says:
It's really well done. :) You should take more pictures at different angles.
Bobfleadip Says:
lol Someone needs to kick the shit outta that Josh guy, is he just a smartass or what?
But this came out really nice! Was the base a requirement for everyone to use?
Crazy DJ Says:
I like it a lot

And i like the way you colored the hammer. It looks like it has been used quite a lot.
At first i thought you missed a spot on her arms, but i realized it was colored.
I love the way she just looks. It's a really good sculpt ^^
I do not see a sonic Character.
Reasons-
1. she has a neck (most sonic dudes dont have a neck... not counting the humans and excluding Eggman since he doesnt have a neck)
2. Doesnt have abnormally HUGE feet. She has big feet, but they're not monstro. (and it fits her character)
3. Proportion wise, they have fairly round/oval shaped bodies. a little curve here and there. but this is not sonic style.
4. she just doesnt look Sonic... to me. = / the kid is quacked.
20thcore Says:
well.. listen in yo~
I have things to say but I'm so tired and stressed, no I don't have any witty backup against what drives others emotional behavior. But I think this is so creative, a very nice project I think yeh? and a real critique would be better but I'll give you this now instead of waisting time for homework and what sleep I can get. good job yeh?
Shadow Dinosaur Says:
Looks great dude! You spent alot of time of it for a good result! I also like the way her hair is sliding to one side, it gives her an awesome look. Great job!
I always admired Sarah, so you get a fave from me.
CatFreak Says:
Well I know she dose not look like a sonic character, because her head is not the most biggest part of her body, and her hair is not part of her skull.
Eddsworld Says:
i think its because Amy Rose looks like a cat, is pink and i seem to remember having a hammer at one point...

But i think its awesome, even if there are some scuff marks
