About half a year has past since my last artwork. I wonder how many of you still remember me, or how many are still hanging out here on sheezyart.
Improvement has been slow. Transition to another style that is more fitting for me is close to 0% progress. I feel it has become a chore to draw now, which is a strange feeling. I don't want to pick up a pencil and draw. Maybe it's because my abilities are so limited, all my drawings end up looking boring. Well, when time comes again I feel the need to draw, I will do so. I'm not going to give up drawing yet, even if it feels like homework...for some odd reason.
Studying during the school quarter does put loads of restraints when it comes to personal goals like this. Though, I'm not sad for the trade. I'm doing well all in all if you cut out my art improvement goal.
For the past few days, ms paint has been a program I love enough to use and create this kind of artwork. Full view to see its pixelness.
ms paint + tablet
(yes, I got a tablet some time ago. A wacom bamboo tablet.)
continuing my quest to improve...
my work so far...

I still remember you! ^^ I was surprised to see your update
but happy!
the lines and his expression, I love all of it like crazy!

I know the feeling far too well myself, but I'm glad you haven't given up! you just need to find something that motivates you! (easier said than done, I know Dx) What helped me out of my art slumps was usually a new anime or story that really drew me in~ or drawing requests for people! this last thing might sound weird to get you out of a slump.. but it's not! hearing various ideas to draw from all kinds of people can be very inspiring!
so maybe try asking around a bit? x3 for me, commissions were a good idea (on gaiaonline atleast x'D no real money involved) you get so many different subjects and personalities to draw, it's strangely refreshing and fun to do! and it really helped me improve!
I hope my silly ranting is of any help to you x3 I'd really hate to see you quit!
about your drawing~
I'm usually not too fond of ms paint works but this I do love!
and I own a wacom myself x3 not a Bamboo but a much older one~ it's still really comfortable to work with!
but yeah, cheer up! you have talent and you had better make good use of it! Cx

Cutie!

And you're backkk!! For a bit, at least. Glad to hear that you're doing well so far!
I totally understand what you mean about personal art suddenly feeling like it's homework. For the past semester, since I've been doing artwork constantly to meet the criteria of my classes, personal works done at home suddenly taste like homework and therefore I don't want to do it. I've realized that my artwork was in the past a great hobby I enjoyed, and escape. Now it's something I have to do everyday as work, and I don't want to bring my work home. I've been reading more and even playing videogames I haven't touched in years. Strange, but expected? i hope I regain the joy i had when I was doing artwork purely for myself. For both of us!
And Happy (early) New Year's!!
