Last Ride: Prologue page 3

Duh duh duh... The introduction of my character. Rose. Have fun now.

And who am I, you ask? Who is this narrator of whom you keep hearing from? I am one of those organoids I mentioned earlier. My name is Rose Maldalay, and I am the captain of the Valkyrie Rose. Yes, I know I look a little strange. All I know about myself, is that I was designed to be a soldier. Or, more particularly, a black ops operative. I can sneak behind enemy lines, take out their leader and run before they even know what I have done.

Of course, this is all in the past, as I have now been given a new dirrective. Pilot an experimental ship crewed by recently made organoids. A not so simple task, but still one I shall relish. There are those in the upper echelons of the military that do not think highly of me. But, that is only because my previous owner made some rather shady favors in reguards of me, with me, to get an extra card in their favor into the higher ranks of the military. IE, stacking the deck. Who knows, maybe it will work, maybe it wont. All I know, is that I am now in captain ship of one of the most high tech ships in the fleet. Even though she isn't powerful enough to take on a battleship, she may just prove to be more than the origonal designers thought.

Just like how I hope to be more than they thought when they designed me. Oh well, the time shall come when they too deem me too powerful, and may seek to eliminate me, just so they don't have a powerful weapon go AWOL.

Time to begin my tale. Listen very carefully. I won't repeat it ever again.
