I started this painting in April and haven't finished it till now, and it was a blood bitch to do. As much as I love Bill and all I hate his damn hair, that took the longest to do.
I love how the eyes, mouth, skin, and jacket turned out. I'm not too happy with the hair. I'm still trying to improve in that area, so please be nice about the hair, I know it's not the best looking.

The reference was one of the pictures I took back in February I really loved the shot and I really wanted to do a painting of it.
I did change a few things from the reference picture like added the yellow light on him, and did the hair differently.

This is great! And the hair is superb and has alot of layers to it. I also like how you added your own lil twist to it with the yellow light and all. The composition and where the head sits within the background is also very smart. I wish that there was a lil more detail in the eye- but there's no doubt alot of work put into it already. Lovely, keep it up!!!
