Indestructible

I wasn't surprised when I was attacked again. I wasn't even surprised when they set the place on fire. My first thought was "Here we go again..." Then the flash backs of last time began to reel through my brain, that's when the fear, the absolute terror set in. "Run." Was all my conscious could tell me. "Save yourself. Don't let them hurt you again." I began to retreat, when I had an epiphany. I looked back to my burning work station. Then I looked down at myself. My work. I began to see now...That my honor came first. Running away would do nothing for it. Running away wouldn't defend what I believe.
But, should I go back to defend what I live for, would I suffer a repeat of the last incident? Would I die? It seemed a simply irrational idea. I looked down again and realized that I didn't have these scars for nothing. And what's another one to add to the collection if I get hurt? I grabbed a crow bar from the closest tool cabinet to me. I had chosen to fight. So what is the point in saving myself, when my very destroyers have made me indestructible?

Not a vent. I repeat. Not a vent. This is some serious hard core character developing art here. Been working on it on and off for DAYS. Anyway...I don't believe I've posted him up before, so here's your intro. This is Dr. Dimitri Álvarez. Better known by other interacting characters as "The Doc". Guy's young, but he's a bloody genius. Unfortunately, he's not liked very much by the general populous. :< You might be able to guess why, looking at his scars and reading his little statement up thar.
