Well, this is kind of an odd idea I’ve had.
I’m certain that if anthro races have the same species of animal they are on their planet, or, at least, know about them, they wonder at times what life’d be like as a normal creature. That, and I’ve been into Kingdom Hearts. I do particularly like the Pride Lands level: neat to see Sora as a lion cub.
I’ve been wondering about Krystal as a character in KH, so I kinda decided to attempt to draw her as a normal fox, for the Pride Lands level. I’m fairly familiar with standard Canid anatomy, so the biggest challenge anatomy-wise was the head, considering that Krystal isn’t exactly any sort of a Disney style. Given this, I did attempt to emulate the style, and it’s not a bad cross. I did absolutely screw up her staff, though. That’s what happens when one draws without a proper reference.
Then I decided to try inking it. This…I’m not certain about. I’ll keep working at it for awhile, but the lines are no longer as fine or delicate as I’d like.
