Edited from original pic during school.
A parasite dragon from my HellGate project. I'm doing most of the monster design where Escargo is working on characters
and character development, kinda. I'm doing that too, but I'm mostly doing enemies, creatures, etc.
Monster Stats/Profile/Whatever
Species: Parasitic dragon
Type: Poison / Plant / Dragon
Female Strength: 20
Male Strength: 15
Female Height [baby/adolescent/adult]: 10 feet
Female Weight [baby/adolescent/adult]: 3 tons
Male Height [baby/adolescent/adult]: 7 feet
Male Weight [baby/adolescent/adult]: 2 tons
Female Difficulty: 3
Male Difficulty: 2
Worlds mostly found on: Kalos, Kunkai, Seabed, Nirelan
Areas mostly found in: Heavy forested areas, sometimes dark places such as labrynths or dungons, other elemental parasite dragons
are found in areas according to their element type (ex.: ice poison parasite dragon = found in icy areas like tundras or mountain tops)
Prey/Diet: Big bird creatures, land-dwelling creatures, humans only when no other food is available
Most effective weapon: Snake-venom coated amber battle ax
Special: Females are purple, males yellow. When a female has a hatchling nearby, do not come near otherwise she might think you're threatening her hatchling. If you want to befriend it, though, make sure you have griffin meat on you and approach VERY slowly with it held out in front of you so the mother knows you are offering peace/friendship to her and her hatchling. If you befriend a mother parasite dragon, you have the power to command them to shrink to a size that can fit in a rucksack. You can also ride them in the air or on the ground, and they will defend you as if you were their own hatchling. Once befriended, mother parasite dragons are extremely affectionate. She'll even hunt for you. Just tell her what you eat and she'll try her best to help you find it, or just find it herself. Parasite dragons never die, either, since if there's still a forest in exsistence, a special, secret location in their birthplace keeps them alive, even if heavily, heavily wounded.
A parasite dragon's tongue acts as a lure for wandering prey, and drips saliva that, to the prey, smells exactly what they like to eat. Once close enough, the prey is wrapped in the dragon's tongue and held in its maw, its teeth acting as inpenetrable walls so the prey cannot escape as the parasite dragon's acidic saliva/fluids digest it.
The exposed muscle-like strands seen on the parasite dragons' eye spots, fins, belly, and the insides of the wings are used for
sense, smell, sight, and touch. Smell and touch are only used when the dragon's normal senses are, for some reason, impaired or crippled. The flower-like tongue tip is also used for smell and sense, being hyper-sensitive to temperature, texture, and scent.
Female and male parasite dragons have different traits.
Strength is measured on a scale of 1-50, 1 being extremely weak and 50 being one of the most powerful
monsters in all of HellGate universe. Difficulty is measured on a scale of 1-5. 1 is very easy, and 5 is extremely difficult.
