For the Day of the Dead contest at DA, which I can't seem to submit to right now.
Vectorness, Drawn in Flash.
Day of the Dead celebrates loved ones that are gone. I'm sure they want us to be happy they're in a better place, instead of moping that they're gone.
The title is "To Dance with Catrina." Catrina is kind of a mythical character created by Jose Posada, and perpetuated by artists like Diego Rivera. I've loved the image of Catrina ever since I did a thesis on Posada. I know she's supposed to be a metaphor for death being absolute no matter your riches, but she's just such a lively image of... well, death!

Posada has other calaveras that are not as popular, they rock too. :)
The dude with her is my character Aarin. Or a generic anime guy. Whatever.
