The image of elves being tiny creatures is a bit outdated. Small people could also have meant thin and ethereal, which were also words commonly used to describe them. So now we have a slim, graceful creature of the elphen persuasion who oversees the creation of all of those wonderful Japanese goodies, who inexplicably has bright green fan-wings. We all know Santa's toy shop is factory sized and automated by now, right? We also know I probably ate too much candy while drawing this.
