-THIS MANGA IS READ LIKE A TRADITIONAL MANGA, FROM RIGHT TO LEFT-

Welcome to the beginning of the Star of Destiny manga. I'm the writer of the manga, Andrew. However, I prefer to be called Drew or Skye. Please don't call me Andrew or I'll kill you. :D

Moving on, I figured I'd use this place to speak a bit about Star of Destiny, since I'm new to SheezyArt as is this story. Star of Destiny is a story I've been working on since around December 2001, though its roots began several years prior, back when I frequented a forum where I engaged in text roleplaying. Originally I would RP as a character named Maverick, who was part of a MegaMan X roleplay. I was a part of this for a few years before deciding to retiring, having gotten into Starcraft. A couple years later I would join another MegaMan forum, where an individual using the name "MegaMan X Ultimate" would infuriate me so much with his attitude that I would want to RP again just to show him up. Several months later, though, I got too annoyed with him and gave up RPing, though this time I had developed such a strong story behind my character that I didn't just want to discard it and I also had other characters I continued to RP. Instead, I saved all that story up and another several months later I ended up forming up my own roleplaying forum, where I began to play out the story of Maverick, though now he was called Trev Lunar.

Here I continued to build his story, eventually tieing virtually every RPing character I had to Trev's story. I also went through a renaming phase where, time and time again, I changed Trev's name. I didn't settle on a final name until long after I decided to retire the story of Trev entirely from RPing. I continued my other characters, but never used Trev.

After some time my forum just vanished, I never knew what happened to it and I didn't bother. Instead I decided to take a new route. It was now early 2002 when I decided to make the story called Star of Destiny, following the story of a character named Skye McCloud. Of course, while Skye's name was set by then, the story's name wasn't set for another year.

That's it for the roots. On the next page I submit, I'll include information as to why I made Star of Destiny.

Oh, and as a note, the dates listed on each page relate to the day the comic first went up on my website, http://www.starofdestiny.com
