Ohhhh. Definatly onna my fav types of dragons of all time. =3 I would KILL if I could have one for a pet. I WOULD NAME IT LILY! X33333

I was so happy for the Prismacolor markers that I just HAD to draw my auntie a "thank you" gift pic. I figured I'd do onna these little guys because they are simply awesome. They spend their days in the treetops suckling the nectar from the flowers with their hummingbird-like tongue and have a gland beneath their wings that produce a sweet-scented healing oil that defys all medical logic. They are tiny little things, too. Not much bigger than a mouse.

Coloured with Prismacolor markers, but I kinda screwed up on it so I scanned it, cleaned it up, added some details like highlights and shadows and smacked in a pretty BG. I actually like it like this. And my aunt loved it, too.

The Japanese Butterfly Lizard is property of Graeme Base from his book "Discovery of the Dragons." READ IT! It's a good book with beautiful dragon illustrations!

I love that book. The butterfly dragon is awesome, though I think I like the Mongolian Dragon and the Green Land...dragon. But I like this. The over all Oriental feel is wonderful.

aww its so cute! I never seen this type of dragon/lizard/butterfly .. creature. Must go check it out cause you said so! I love this, the position and how the tree limb is forming into the picture. Really draws your eye to the main event, the dragon/lizard itself. The border is a wonderful touch, gives it a centered feeling.
