The Vampire and The Masquerade (paragraph 1 of 19)

Wrath glided silently through the darkened streets. Above him the moon glowed full and round like a delicate china plate. The gentle padding of feline feet brushed over the rooftops. He weaved through the barren alleyways. There was no one about after dark in this town and his fangs itched for blood. He was hungry. He continued his path through town to a barren hill on the outskirts. Atop the hill stood an impressive white building that seemed too large and rectangular to be a house. This building was the only source of light in the entire town.

The Vampire and The Masquerade is a short story submitted in paragraphes. It is meant as a concept piece more valued for the ideas it presents than the plot.

I have two thoughts on this. One, why only a paragraph at a time?
Two, Itchy teeth? Not something I would have thought of, but have to admit it works. Be interesting to see how the other 18 paragraphs work out. A pretty good first one.

Nope, it was clear (about the itchy teeth), it was just something I had never heard before. But I am only a mild Vampire fan. As it were.

Any fanatic is worrisome. So far I am quite impressed. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of it goes.

Abrupt endings do not equate to bad endings. Depends on the story. Sometimes they are in fact the best ones. Someone should have come up with an abrupt ending for the Matrix so that they didn't ruin it over the next two movies.

Stick with that, you will be much happier all around. I on the other hand suffered through all three. Of course I also just watched Orochi the Eight Headed Dragon and enjoyed it, despite the fact that it was a Japanese Rubber Monster suit movie. So maybe my tastes aren't the best ones to listen to.

Fair enough, I will certainly keep it in mind.
