Let's Go to Utah!

Let's Go to Utah!, by Dave Chisholm, is, I think, one of the best comics I've ever had the pleasure of reading. I've been wanting to do some fanart for a while. Today an envelope arrived in my mail, containing the most recent issues, and the result was that I'd spend the rest of the day* painting...instead of packing. Ah-ha.
But Mr. Chisholm is a really swell guy, and I felt I had to show my 'preciation. You dig?

So...the gentleman in the forward is Leif. He's...a sort of crazy person**. We love him.
The feller saying, "UM?!" is Dave. He has a destiny waiting for him. We also love him.
The story is about the two of them road-trippin' through the desert to get to Utah. Things happen. It's surreal, but makes total perfect sense. There are dinosaurs, too. And a headless cowboy. And an ice-scraper. And lightning!

Anyway, I highly recommend*** that you read this comic. You will love it. It's poetry in ink.

*It would have only have been half of the rest of the day, but my first attempt was a miserable failure. And how do we cope with miserable failures? By making the next attempt a thousand times more satisfactory in every way, yes, yes.
