Contest Entry for Minstrel Ayreon

Everyday it's night for me,
As I cannot see the light of sun
But there's a candle within
Lighting my heart

I may not know colours,
From more that a vague memory
But I feel the atmosphere
And the touch from your very soul
Craving for freedom

Who are the blinded ones
The ones that can't see
I may be blind, but I'm aware
Of all that surrounds me

I fight for freedom and justice
With all that I hold dear
Your wisdom and courage lead us
Life never was the same

Oh, sometimes I wonder
Who is really the blinded one
Greedy for power,love and gold
It's so clear to me sometimes

I wish I could make them close their eyes
So that they could just see
The right path to go
To be really free
