I was trying to figure out what to do with her coloration so I doodled this. THAT'S RIGHT, MORE TEGAKI. I swear I'll make real art one day, I just... can't really bring myself to care yet. >_> Art trades!! srsly me.

Drow Love will actually end up covering it! Arinae is calling herself "Masrae," but she won't really be Masrae in my mind until she gets this sort of redesign from cool to warm colours.
And uh, yeah, she's only wearing chains. She burns them permanently into her skin, and I haven't quite figured out how to draw that yet. Usually she goes around wearing a robe/cloak/thing to cover up what she looks like, because it's pretty nasty looking I imagine, and not hot at all. D: (help)

Can't even imagine what those chains in the crotch and armpits feels like. Sensitive flesh + pinchy pieces of metal... it's like getting your scrotum caught in your zipper over and over again, except you're trying to fight while doing it... OWW.
As far as drawing it, try drawing one-half of a link of chain (thus implying that the other half is in her skin) and drawing another whole link between two of those. Use piercings liberally. It's hard to imply sore, pierced flesh if the person doesn't have pale skin, so maybe put a little but of rust or blood on the chain bit next to the flesh. What I'm describing is, of course, painfully detailed, but it would be totally badass if done well.
